Nominet has announced plans to replace its current paper-based registrant domain name transfer process with an online service that will be launched on 25 June 2008.
The new system will improve on the existing transfer process, which relies on the completion of forms and the submission of suitable identification. The online service will permit registrant transfers in the online services account associated with the domain name. The charge for a single transfer will remain at £10, but the current fee of £22 for a bulk transfer will be reduced to £10.
