Officer wins claim for unpaid salary

An unnamed RAF officer has won his county court claim against the Ministry of Defence over arrears of pay and allowances. The payments were not made as a result of problems with the computerised payroll, and the decision may lead to further claims, as the Ministry of Defence admitted in a parliamentary written answer that almost 52,000 members of the armed forces were underpaid last year.
