Maternity and paternity pay increases

HMRC has announced the increase to several child-related benefits has been delayed.

Statutory Maternity Pay, Maternity Allowance and Statutory Adoption Pay were to increase to 52 weeks for all babies due on or after April 2009 but this now has been delayed one year.

This follows on from changes made in April this year relating to keeping in touch days and an increase to 39 weeks of benefit.

More information is available on this delay on www.hmrc.co.uk.
