The Bill was published on 6 December 2007 and is expected to receive Royal Assent by Summer 2008. However, most of the Bill will come into force at a later date. The Bill proposes to make several changes in employment law including repealing the statutory dismissal and grievance procedures contained in sections 29 to 33 and Schedules 2 to 4 of the Employment Act 2002.
