FSB calls for government to consider small and micro businesses more

The report by the FSB-located at www.fsb.org.uk/documentstore- has slammed the Government for failing to draft legislation sensitively to the needs of the small business community.

In particular H & S legislation was drafted with large businesses in mind but applied to all sized businesses in fact and from 1,700 businesses canvassed respondents quoted were very frustrated over the burdens they imposed.

The FSB has called for a robust Regulatory Impact Assessment addressing the impact of small businesses and for assistance in the form of standardised forms, guidance notes and online templates.

Additionally, practical support from the ABI-Association of British Insurers-for competitive employment insurance has been called for with greater competition in quotes that take into account H & S records.
