Report finds number of women in certain senior roles in decline

"Sex and Power", a report by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has found that the number of women with senior posts of power and influence has fallen since last year in 12 of the 25 studied job categories. In another 5 of the categories, the figure is the same as last year, with an increase only in the remaining 8. The EHRC commented that the progress of women across public and private sectors is at "a snail's pace", and also that in some cases women face a "concrete" rather than glass ceiling.
