In Brief - Company Law Simplification


 
The Department of Trade and Industry has announced proposals designed to reduce the complexity of company law, particularly for small businesses. Among changes proposed in the Company Law Reform Bill are measures to simplify company formation, make the holding of annual general meetings optional for small companies and also to make it unnecessary for the smallest companies to have a company secretary.
